Nokia Push Snowboarding

Using specially made sensors, data was going to be collected from the Burton snowboarders while competing in the US and European Opens. To promote the technology involved I created this animated infographic, using footage from practice runs and the sensor data saved to a Nokia phone. I worked with a developer to parse the riders’ XML data into After Effects keyframes. This allowed me to create interesting particle streams that visually represented the speed, orientation and heart rate of the rider.

This was then projected in a Nokia & Burton tent at competitions.
